Sarah has over 18 years experience in broadcast television. Starting out researching documentaries such as Full Frontal in Flip Flops (ITV1), a Bafta Award winning film about British Naturism and Family Confidential (C5). The self-shooting bug began with a 6 month stint in Detroit following the Animal Cops for Discovery Network and continued for 8 years as freelance PD at various indies including RDF, Love Productions and Lion Television on a variety of their successful shows. A 10 year relationship with Maverick TV started with directing 10 Years Younger (C4) and then directing the first series of Embarrassing Bodies (C4), going on to series, and executive produce both brands with the team collecting numerous awards including Baftas’. Sarah also spent time in development and undertook format consultancy in Moscow, the Netherlands and the US. Alongside working on some of the biggest formatted programmes such as How to Look Good Naked (C4) and producing programmes for TLC she made acclaimed spin-off films about being transgender, mental health issues, obesity and programmes for C4’s Stand Up to Cancer season.
