Prejudice And Pride: The People’s History Of LGBTQ Britain

The BBC has ordered a raft of documentaries as part of LGBTQ season Gay Britannia.

The broadcaster has commissioned a series of films to air across BBC2, BBC3 and BBC4 to mark the 50th anniversary of the Sexual Offences Act 1967, which partially decriminalised homosexuality in the UK.

The season will offer a fresh light on the history of gay Britain and show what it means to be gay today...

It will also air 7 Wonder’s Prejudice And Pride: The People’s History Of LGBTQ Britain, presented by Susan Calman and Stephen K Amos.

The 2 x 60-minute doc series, which was ordered by Tom McDonald and exec produced by Eve Kay and Steve Condie, reveals the precious mementos and memorabilia that have the changed the lives of LGBTQ people over the last 50 years.
